The theme is a fragile globe of rainbow glass,
shining and delicate.
It is tossed lightly from bow-tip to bow-tip,
It floats to the strings like a saffron butterfly
alighting on a hareball, scarcely swaying
its stem.
It sparkles and dances.
The sphere swings higher and higher,
Colors flash from the ball with blinding
brightness, quivering, vibrant.
Blazing it falls through the scintillant atmos-
phere
And shatters in long flares of dazzling radi-
ance.
