Chair’s Report:
• All Homecoming events that need to be approved are going before Student Life tomorrow.
“Requests permission for the following:
To hold an outdoor Pep Rally, 4:30 pm on North Lawn, to build excitement for the Homecoming Game. Captains of SLC sports teams will report on completed seasons & the men’s basketball team will be introduced. There will be campy activities, like tug of war and a cakewalk.
To hold a bake sale and fundraiser before the Homecoming Game. The game starts at 7:30 pm and the bake sale will be held before the game in the sports ctr lobby. Voluntary donations will also be solicited.
To decorate the handrail going down Bates Hill with balloons & streamers for the Homecoming Dance, 8:30 pm – 2am (this includes set-up and clean-up).
To hold a fundraiser at the Homecoming Dance, 10:00 pm -2:00 am, Blue Room. Will be taking and selling photographs.”
Added: Capture the Flag event approval for Tuesday November 11th
• Mary Levine cannot provide water coolers for the dance due to the fact that they will be used for the game. Aiden will talk to FLIK about donating water. If FLIK will not donate water, then we will purchase water.
Pep Rally
• Reminder, Pep Rally is set for November 14th, from 4:30pm-6pm
• A group of students have expressed interest to cheer at the pep rally. If you know of anyone else who would be interested in cheering have them contact either Jack Arsenault
• Porcelain Baby Burlesque to possibly perform at pep rally

• Settling on a date for Live Auction:
Reserving space (Reisinger)
Last year’s auction was in April 2008
Usually it is in Mid-February.
Date settled: Thursday Feb 19th, 2009 as first choice
Thursday Feb 26, 2009 as backup
• Silent Auction:
Will take place a couple of hours prior to the live auction.
Things not sold at silent auction will be sold at live auction.
Homecoming Staffing:
What do we need staffed?
-Tuesday: Capture the flag (preliminary time 5pm), staffed by Myles and Lily
-Craft Session, (Wednesday night from 7-9pm), staffed by Aiden and Elizabeth
-Movie: Doing a horror movie. Thursday, film viewing room 9pm. Popcorn and Hot Chocolate will be provided.
-Bake sales on Friday: Aiden, Angelina, Emily, Elizabeth, Christine 1) 12pm-3:30pm In front of the pub 2) 4:30pm move to North Lawn for pep rally 3) Bake sale will also be at the game at Campbell Sports Center Dance Staffing: Aiden, Angelina, Emily, Lily Dance photos: Myles will deal with the equipment
GAME staffing: -will ask about cheer group to be at the game -bake sale table -table by entrance to the gym (handing out fingers and noisemakers and handling donations) (eliot)

-Concern raised about people who do not have meal plans so will be excluded if they are handed out at Bates
-Solution: need the Gryphon at Bates, will also pass them out at the end of the game.
